Clover SIMONE

Italian breeding for high-quality forage production

The 'Simone' clover, a 2025 release, brings Italian agricultural expertise to the field. Officially registered in Ukraine in 2025, this variety is designed to meet the demands of modern livestock farming, focusing on both yield and nutritional density.

Crop utilization and harvest management

• Fresh consumption: Due to its high leaf-to-stem ratio and tender texture, 'Simone' is highly palatable for livestock. Its rapid regrowth cycle after grazing or mowing makes it an excellent choice for a continuous green forage supply.
• Processing and storage: This variety is optimized for hay and haylage production. It retains a high protein content even after drying, which is essential for maintaining a balanced diet for dairy and beef cattle. The plant's resistance to lodging ensures efficient mechanical harvesting with minimal field losses.
• Marketability and transport: When baled, 'Simone' maintains its structural integrity, preventing leaf shatter during handling and transport. This ensures that the forage reaches the storage facility in excellent condition, preserving its nutritional value and visual quality.

Integrating 'Simone' into your crop rotation provides a reliable source of plant-based protein, tailored to the requirements of intensive livestock operations.
