Chrysanthemum Magic Sun

Purple Autumn Magic by the Hryshko National Botanical Garden

The 'Charovnyi Son' chrysanthemum is a masterpiece of Ukrainian selection, perfectly adapted to the regional climate. Unlike many imported varieties that require greenhouse protection, this cultivar demonstrates remarkable resilience in open fields while maintaining the high aesthetic standards of a professional cut flower.

Key Advantages

• Blooming Schedule: 'Charovnyi Son' begins its active flowering phase in September, just as the garden starts to fade. Its early start ensures the cycle concludes before the onset of harsh frosts.
• Cut Flower Stability: With a moderate height of 30-60 cm and a bloom diameter of 5-10 cm, this variety is highly versatile. It performs excellently in floral arrangements, maintaining freshness in a vase for up to 40 days.
• Color Palette: Its deep, rich violet hue is the signature feature of this variety, making it stand out against the backdrop of traditional yellow or white chrysanthemums.

Who Is This Variety For?

'Charovnyi Son' is ideal for gardeners seeking a balance between visual appeal and low maintenance. Planted during the summer, it does not require complex agricultural techniques. However, keep in mind that to form dense, healthy stems, the plant needs sunny spots and moderately fertile soil. It is not the type of cultivar that will forgive total neglect during a dry August.

If you are planning commercial cut-flower production, this hybrid is a valuable asset due to its high ornamental value and longevity. For private gardens, it acts as a vibrant final chord of the season, filling your landscape with the cool, elegant grace of autumn.
