Chrysanthemum Golden Dukat

Field Performance and Maintenance of 'Zolotyi Dukat'

Developed by the M.M. Hryshko National Botanical Garden, 'Zolotyi Dukat' is a textbook example of plant breeding optimized for regional climatic stability. For a gardener or landscape operator, this chrysanthemum variety is essentially a low-maintenance asset: it maintains a structural, compact form without the need for staking or intensive pruning.

Key Operational Features

• Dimensions: With a maximum height of 30 cm, this cultivar serves perfectly as a low-profile border plant, keeping sightlines clear while providing a dense carpet of color.
• Flowering Cycle: The early September bloom ensures the plant completes its lifecycle before the onset of harsh late-autumn weather, maximizing the return on your horticultural investment.
• Bloom Quality: Despite its modest stature, the flowers reach an impressive diameter of 10+ cm, creating a high-impact aesthetic that significantly outperforms larger, more fragile varieties in terms of visual density.

Field maintenance is streamlined: standard irrigation and basic sanitation post-bloom are sufficient to keep the beds looking professional year after year. As this variety is bred for open-ground cultivation, its hardiness eliminates the common labor costs associated with lifting and winter-storing delicate perennials. 'Zolotyi Dukat' is a practical choice for anyone prioritizing an efficient, high-yield display in their garden architecture.
