Chrysanthemum DENNITSA

Technical Specifications of the 'Dennitsa' Chrysanthemum

The 'Dennitsa' chrysanthemum, developed by the Botanical Garden-Institute of the FEB RAS (originator Alevtina Nedoluzhko), represents a specialized variety engineered for high-performance decorative use and professional cut-flower production. Its primary value lies in the balance between structural height and robust biological resistance.

Key Performance Indicators

• Resilience: The most critical technical feature is the inherent resistance to Chrysanthemum White Rust (Puccinia horiana). This genetic trait minimizes the need for fungicide intervention and ensures crop safety in humid conditions.
• Growth Architecture: Classified as a tall variety (60+ cm), it provides excellent stem length, essential for high-quality cut flower arrangements.
• Blooming Efficiency: Blooming in October, the plant offers a 40+ day flowering window. This longevity is supported by the plant's structural density and sustained metabolic capacity during the autumn transition.

Agronomic Requirements

To achieve the full potential of 'Dennitsa', site selection is paramount. The variety requires maximum solar exposure to ensure the development of its signature deep purple pigmentation. Its high frost resistance makes it suitable for various climatic zones, allowing for both spring and autumn planting cycles.

In a professional setting, the variety is valued for its uniformity. The rigidity of the peduncles and the extended vase life after cutting make it a reliable asset for landscape design and commercial floriculture. Proper soil management and consistent light exposure will yield predictable, high-quality decorative results that align with the rigorous standards of the originator.
