PERMYAK

Spring garlic variety Permyak is intended for cultivation in northern climatic zones and belongs to medium-early maturing varieties. The plant is characterized by light green foliage with a non-vivid hue and a weak waxy bloom; leaf length reaches 30-32 cm, and width is about 2.3-2.6 cm. The bulb has an ovoid or oval shape, slightly elongated upwards, with a mass of about 34-37 g. The outer bulb cover is covered with light-white scales with anthocyanin stripes, while the inner skin of the cloves is pinkish. The bulb consists of 14-17 cloves with a complex structure; the flesh is white, and the taste is semi-sharp, which is due to the increased content of essential oils. The yield of the Permyak variety is approximately 280-320 g per square meter. The plant does not shoot, which facilitates care and increases crop quality. Thanks to its characteristics, the garlic stores well for up to 10 months, which allows using it for a long time after harvesting. The variety is included in the State Register and is recommended for cultivation in personal subsidiary holdings throughout the territory of Russia. For successful cultivation of the Permyak variety, it is recommended to plant garlic in open ground in the spring, observing optimal planting dates and care for plants. It is important to carry out prophylactic treatment against diseases to preserve the health of the crop and obtain a high yield. The collected garlic is suitable both for fresh consumption and for long-term storage, which makes it a universal and in-demand variety among gardeners.
