Description MOREL BRYANSKAYA
MOREL BRYANSKAYA is an old European cherry variety, bred at the All-Russian Research Institute of Feed named after V.R. Williams and brought to Russia from the Netherlands. The tree is dwarf, reaching a height of up to 2 meters, with a dense, spherical, light-green crown. Leaves are of medium size, oval, dark green, glossy and leathery, without pubescence. Shoots are of medium length, straight in the upper part and curved in the lower part. The variety is distinguished by good resistance to diseases and pests, as well as the ability to withstand drought and frost, making it suitable for cultivation in Central Russia and Primorye.

The fruits of the Morel Bryanskaya variety are large, broadly rounded in shape, burgundy-red, almost black, with a tender, medium-density skin and juicy, tender red flesh. The average weight of the berry is about 4.2 grams. The taste of the fruits is a pronounced dessert flavor, sweet and sour with a slight acidity. Sugar content in the fruits reaches 9.1%, fruit acid - 1.4%, and vitamin C - 14.2 mg per 100 grams. The stone is medium-large. The tasting score of fresh fruits is 4.5 points, which confirms their high quality.

The variety is partially self-fertile; for obtaining a bountiful harvest, it is recommended to plant pollinator varieties nearby, such as Amorelle rose, Lotovka, and Chernokorka. Yield from one tree reaches 10-12 kg, and the average yield per hectare is about 69.9 centners. Thanks to its characteristics and resistance to climatic conditions, Morel Bryanskaya is considered one of the best varieties for cultivation in unstable climatic zones.
