Moment

The variety was developed at the Institute of Irrigated Horticulture named after M.F. Sidorenko, UAAAN, by breeders N.I. Turovets and V.A. Turovets. Selected among seedlings of the variety 'Krupnoplodnaya' from open pollination. Under state variety testing since 1995.

The tree is large and fast-growing. The crown is spherical and raised. Fruit-bearing occurs primarily on cluster branches. Enters fruiting by the 4th year after planting in the orchard. Bark on the trunk is peeling and brown. Shoots are thick, straight, and brown. Pods are numerous, medium-sized, yellow. Leaves are medium-sized, narrow, inversely egg-shaped, long-pointed, dark green, smooth, and matte. Leaf blade is flat, slightly concave like a boat, and curved downward. Leaf apex is long-pointed. Leaf margin is serrated. Petioles are short, deeply divided, and early falling. Petiole is medium-sized and pigmented. Stipules are large, 2-3 per leaf, oval, colored. Flowers are double and triple, medium-sized, white.

Fruits are large, medium weight 8.0 g, heart-shaped. Fruit apex is rounded, base has an indentation. Pit is medium-sized. Abdominal suture is fine and barely noticeable. Pedicel is medium-sized, easily separates from the branch. Attachment to the pit is weak. Fruit color is dark red. Numerous subcutaneous dots, gray, barely noticeable. Skin is medium-thick, smooth, easily removed. Flesh is dark red, juicy, semi-fibrous. Juice is dark red. Taste is sour-sweet. Sensory evaluation of fresh fruits is 4.8 points. Pit separates easily from the flesh, round, smooth. Fruits ripen June 10-12. Average yield at 16 years of age is 66.5 kg per tree.

Fruits contain 13.8% dry matter, 7.4% sugar, 0.27% acid, and 6.7 mg/100g ascorbic acid. Fruit transportability is good. Variety is universal in use.
