Variety from the North Caucasus Regional Research Institute of Horticulture and Viticulture (Krasnodar) obtained by sowing seeds of the free-pollinating variety Chernokorka. Authors: E.M. Alexina, S.A. Govorushchenko. Included in the state variety testing in the southern region since 2007.
Medium-growing, spherical, dense, well-leafed tree. Shoots with a slight silvery coating. Buds are small; vegetative buds are more pointed, generative buds lag behind the shoots. Leaves of medium size (12 x 5 mm), oval, dark green, apex gradually pointed, base acute, leaf margin with blunt-toothed serration, upper leaf surface smooth, dark green, glands located at the base of the leaf blade in 1-2, colored. Petiole of medium length, with anthocyanin coloration. Flowers arranged in clusters of 3-4, medium-sized, corolla saucer-shaped, petals slightly pink, oval, arranged loosely, calyx narrow, sepals without serration, stamens short, stigma medium-sized, positioned above the anthers. Fruit set type mixed.
Fruits of medium size (6.0 g), broadly round (20 x 21 x 20 mm), deep and narrow cavity, rounded apex, covering color dark ruby, flesh and juice intensely colored. Flesh of medium density, tart-sweet, good flavor (taste evaluation 4.5 points). Peduncle 30-35 mm long, dry detachment from fruit. Fruits contain 16.7% dry matter, 7.6% sugars, 1.8% acids, 16.7 mg% ascorbic acid. Variety of universal use, fruits suitable for fresh consumption and various processing methods.
Blooms and ripens in medium time. Enters fruiting at age 4. Partially self-fertile. Yield of the variety is high in favorable years (8.7 t/ha). Variety exhibits moderate winter hardiness and sufficient resistance to fungal diseases.
