Spanish breeding for Ukrainian orchards

The «MALIX 24» peach is a product of the V.I.F. S.A.R.L. breeding program, based in Spain. The variety was officially included in the State Register of Plant Varieties of Ukraine in 2026, opening new opportunities for commercial fruit growing. Due to its adaptability, the hybrid is recommended for cultivation in all key agro-climatic zones of the country: the Steppe, Forest-Steppe, and Polissya.

Morphological features and development

The tree is characterized by medium vigor and a spreading crown habit, which facilitates maintenance and harvesting. Vegetative organs show specific traits: thin flowering shoots with short internodes and moderate anthocyanin coloration. The leaf blade is light green, elongated, with a characteristic concave profile and a crenate margin.

Fruit characteristics

«MALIX 24» is an early-ripening variety for universal use. The fruits are distinguished by their large size and round shape. An important varietal feature is the presence of a pronounced point at the pistil end, which gives the fruits a recognizable appearance. The suture is moderately visible, and the stalk cavity is of medium depth, which, combined with moderate asymmetry, makes the variety attractive for commercial production.
