Celery APPLE

Apple celery is an early-maturing variety of root celery that is distinguished by a pronounced pleasant spicy aroma and high yield. The root crops of this variety are rounded, grayish-white in color with white flesh, making them attractive for use in cooking and folk medicine. The vegetative period ranges from 82 to 106 days, and the yield can reach up to 12.2 kg per square meter. Thanks to excellent storability and good transportability, this variety is suitable for long-term storage and transportation.

Growing apple celery requires adherence to certain agrotechnical conditions. Seeds are sown in early February or in the second half of March at a sowing rate of 1–2 grams per square meter. Seedlings are planted in open ground when they have 5–6 leaves. The plant prefers moderate light and moist soil, with an optimal growth temperature of 18–20°C. To increase yield, regular watering and fertilization with mineral and organic fertilizers are recommended.
