Excellent taste, high yield and marketability of roots

Assol — Early carrot variety. Vegetative period from emergence to technical maturity is 65-70 days. The early carrot variety Assol is characterized by simultaneous harvest formation, which allows obtaining bunchy produce at an early stage. Carrot roots of the Assol variety are cylindrical, blunt-ended, with smooth surface, 14-16 cm long and 75-150 g in weight. Surface — orange, flesh — bright orange, juicy, with excellent taste qualities and high carotene content. Core of the Assol carrot root — small. A characteristic feature of the Assol variety is high yield — 60-70 t/ha, marketability and uniform harvest formation. Good predecessors for carrots are: cabbage, cucumbers, onions, legumes, winter crops. It is recommended to sow carrots after crops for which organic fertilizers were applied. Direct application of organic matter under carrots is not desirable. To obtain early produce or produce for processing, sowing seeds of the early carrot variety Assol should be done as soon as possible after the field becomes suitable for sowing (end of March — beginning of April). Row spacing — 30-45 cm. One modification of row sowing is band-row sowing. In this case, seeds are placed in four rows, spaced 20-30 cm apart. Optimal scheme: 28 X 28 X 28 X 51-52 cm. Distance between plants within a row, depending on purpose, 2.5 — 3.0 cm.
