Cabbage LEBEDUSHKA

Technical Profile and Morphology

The 'Lebedushka' white cabbage variety is a product of the N.I. Vavilov Institute of Plant Genetic Resources (VIR). Its primary value lies in the balance between high head density and a flexible weight range (1 to 5 kg), allowing growers to adapt the crop for specific market demands, from fresh retail sales to industrial processing.

Vegetative Characteristics

The seedling maturation period ranges from 50 to 60 days. The plant develops a compact rosette, which is critical for optimizing planting density per hectare. The round, deep-green heads ensure high commercial quality and transportability.

Practical Applications

• Storage: The variety exhibits excellent long-term storage potential, minimizing logistical losses during the off-season.
• Processing: The dense leaf structure makes 'Lebedushka' an efficient raw material for pickling and shredding.
• Fresh Market: The compactness and uniformity of the heads meet the stringent requirements of modern retail chains.

By adjusting cultivation techniques, producers can influence the final harvest weight between 1 and 5 kg, making this variety a versatile asset for farms with diversified sales channels.
