Gilverde F1 is a mid-early hybrid of green cabbage, developed by the Dutch seed brand Rijk Zwaan. The vegetation period is 65-70 days for spring sowing and 80-90 days for autumn sowing, allowing cultivation in both summer and autumn, as well as for early spring planting. The plant is characterized by strong growth, a powerful root system, and a large number of covering leaves, which contributes to the active formation of dense heads even under high solar intensity.
The heads are dense, dark green, weighing from 1.2 to 1.5 kg. The hybrid is adaptable to growing conditions and care, highly drought-resistant, and partially resistant to fungal diseases and downy mildew, which is especially important in extremely hot climates. Additionally, Gilverde is resistant to leafy growth into the head, ensuring high product quality and ease of harvest.
Gilverde cabbage is intended for cultivation in open ground and is primarily used for the fresh market. The harvest matures evenly, allowing for the main harvest to be collected in two stages. The recommended planting density is 25-32 thousand plants per hectare, which promotes good uniformity and synchronized maturation of the crop. Due to its characteristics and adaptability, Gilverde is a reliable choice for farmers seeking a stable and high-quality yield of green cabbage.
