Faberje cabbage is an early-maturing variety of red cabbage that matures 105-110 days from full germination to technical ripeness. The heads have a round shape, red-purple color, and medium density. The mass of one head varies from 1.5 to 2.8 kg. The inner stalk is short, making the cabbage particularly convenient for use. The variety has a sweet taste, and the texture is tender and very juicy, making it attractive for both fresh consumption and short-term storage.
This variety is distinguished by high yield - up to 7-8 kg per square meter. Faberje cabbage is resistant to head cracking and has good resistance to a complex of diseases, which facilitates care and improves crop quality. Red cabbage contains a large amount of anthocyanins - powerful antioxidants, which is why it is considered one of the most useful varieties of cabbage. In addition to benefits, it attracts attention with its bright and appetizing appearance.
For successful cultivation, it is recommended to sow seeds for seedlings while maintaining the temperature regime: daytime 15-18°C, night 12-14°C. Seedlings are planted in the ground at the age of 40-50 days when the plants have formed 4-5 true leaves. Throughout the season, the cabbage requires regular and abundant watering, as well as timely weeding, loosening, and top dressing with mineral fertilizers to ensure good growth and abundant fruiting.
