Cabbage Bagradion

Strategic Early Production with Cora Seeds

In the competitive fresh market, the ability to harvest ahead of the main season is the primary driver of profitability. The white cabbage variety 'Bagradion' from the Italian breeder Cora Seeds S.R.L is engineered for intensive, high-speed cultivation. With a vegetation period of just 40–50 days from transplanting, this hybrid is designed for professional farmers using greenhouse technology or low tunnels.

On-Farm Application and Utility

The core value of 'Bagradion' lies in its specific market fit. Its 1.0–1.5 kg compact head size meets current consumer demand for small, fresh portions, reducing waste in household use and increasing turnover speed for retailers.

• Optimized Harvesting: The uniform, round head shape simplifies packaging processes, allowing for efficient packing into standard crates and nets without risk of bruising.
• Cultural Practices: To achieve the 40–50 day maturity window, growers should focus on precise nitrogen management during the initial post-transplant phase. Ensuring consistent soil moisture and temperature control under tunnel covers allows the hybrid to reach its full physiological potential.
• Market Efficiency: By hitting the market at the very beginning of the season, 'Bagradion' provides growers with a competitive pricing advantage, ensuring the rapid ROI essential for greenhouse operations.

'Bagradion' by Cora Seeds S.R.L is a reliable tool for commercial growers targeting quality-conscious retailers. Its consistent head development and early maturity ensure a high-quality product that stands out on the shelf, minimizing grading losses and maximizing sales velocity.
