Alina F1 cabbage is an ultra-early hybrid of white cabbage, developed by breeders of Nong Woo Bio from South Korea. This variety has a very short growing period, only 45–50 days after transplanting seedlings into open ground or greenhouses, allowing for an early harvest. Alina cabbage is suitable for cultivation during spring-summer and summer-autumn periods, showing high adaptability to various climatic conditions, including heat, frost, and sudden temperature changes. It is resistant to fusarium, necrosis, and most common diseases, which significantly simplifies care and increases harvest reliability.
Plants form dense, round heads weighing 1.0–1.5 kg, with uniform structure and light green leaf color, making them attractive to buyers. The heads are highly compact and dense, allowing them to withstand transportation well and maintain their market appearance without cracking or developing spots. Cabbage matures uniformly, and its flavor is highly rated, making it suitable for fresh salads as well as for cooking various dishes, including borscht and side dishes.
Alina cabbage is not demanding regarding soil type and can successfully grow in waterlogged conditions provided regular watering is maintained. Thanks to its resistance to adverse factors and diseases, as well as low maintenance requirements, this hybrid is suitable for both large-scale farming operations and private gardeners across various regions of Ukraine. Transplanting is typically done using seedlings, which contributes to achieving stable and high-quality yields.
