Cabbage Alcala

Cauliflower Alcala F1 – a mid-early hybrid of Dutch selection from Bejo Zaden, designed for growing in open ground during the spring-summer and autumn periods. The plant features a straight, uniform stem and a powerful leaf apparatus with grey-green covering leaves that protect heads from sunburn and contribute to heat and extreme weather resistance. The vegetative period lasts about 70-76 days from seedling planting, allowing for harvest in relatively short timeframes. Cauliflower heads are round, dense, white, weighing from 1 to 1.5 kg, with a moderately expressed taste without bitterness.

The Alcala F1 hybrid is characterized by high adaptability to various growing conditions and resistance to common diseases when crop rotation is observed. It demonstrates stable yield and synchronized ripening, making it attractive for commercial cultivation. The cauliflower is suitable for both fresh market sales and processing, freezing, and canning. Thanks to its dense structure and retention of nutritional value after thermal processing, this variety is versatile in cooking.

Seed material is available as seeds packaged in lots of 2500 pieces, with a recommended sowing rate of 30-40 thousand seeds per hectare. Plants recover well after stressful conditions such as water shortage or high temperatures, ensuring yield stability. Alcala F1 is the optimal choice for farmers and gardeners seeking a high-quality, marketable product with a long shelf life without loss of appearance and taste qualities.
