Buckwheat SAULYK

Field Performance of the "Saulyk" Buckwheat Variety

For an agronomist managing field operations, the "Saulyk" buckwheat variety stands out as a highly practical choice. Developed by the Kazan Scientific Center of the RAS, this variety is engineered to provide a predictable, manageable crop that fits well into standard crop rotation schedules.

Operational Insights

When it comes to field maintenance and harvest, "Saulyk" is designed for operational efficiency. With a vegetation period of 70–85 days, it allows for streamlined farm planning. The plant height, ranging from 70 to 100 cm, is consistent, making it easier for combine operators to optimize header settings and minimize harvest losses without constant adjustments.

Reliability and Field Durability

One of the most appreciated characteristics for farm operators is the variety's resistance to lodging. This structural integrity is vital during the grain-filling stage, as it prevents the crop from falling, thereby ensuring higher yields and cleaner harvesting processes. Less lodging means less strain on machinery and more efficiency in the field.

• Plant Type: Annual.
• Vegetation Period: 70–85 days.
• Height: 70–100 cm, ideal for mechanized harvesting.
• Origin: Bred by FRC Kazan Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

By choosing "Saulyk," operators opt for a robust variety that performs consistently. The uniformity of the crop facilitates easier harvest logistics, allowing operators to maintain stable work speeds and achieve high-quality grain yields with minimal downtime.
