Seeds of the "SEMIENOVNA" variety meet the requirements of GOST 32592‑2013 and are registered in the State Register of Breeding Achievements under code 7954880. Swede prefers calcareous loam soils rich in organic matter with neutral acidity; on sandy soils, the plant does not show good productivity.
The variety is of medium-late maturity; the period from full germination to the beginning of technical ripeness is 115–120 days. Leaves form an intermediate-type rosette, the diameter of which can reach 48 cm. Leaf color – saturated green with moderate glossiness; large leaves are rare, and the proportion of large leaves at the end of growth remains small.
The root has an oval shape and is slightly buried in the soil. It is of medium size, with a diameter of about 48 cm, and a small root head. The upper part of the root is stained with anthocyanin red-violet color to a pronounced degree, skin is smooth, and lateral roots are few. The flesh is light yellow, dense and juicy, while retaining a slight mustard taste. The average weight of one root is 600–630 g.
The variety is resistant to storage rot during storage, which makes it convenient for long-term storage without loss of quality. Yield reaches 5.3–5.6 kg/m², which confirms the high productivity of this variety under suitable growing conditions.
