Blackberry DrisBlackFifteen

The Benchmark of Premium Blackberry from Driscoll’s

Driscoll’s American breeding programs have set global industry standards for decades. The “DrisBlackFifteen” variety is the result of extensive research into the needs of both professional growers and end consumers. This hybrid embodies the intersection of modern agronomic requirements, combining aesthetic appeal with commercial efficiency.

Agronomic Advantages

A key feature of “DrisBlackFifteen” is its semi-erect growth habit. Unlike trailing varieties that require complex trellis systems, this hybrid allows for optimized plantation space, simplifying maintenance and harvesting. The thornless nature is a critical factor in reducing labor costs: harvesters work more efficiently, and the risk of damaging the fruit’s integrity is minimized.

Market Potential

Late maturity makes this variety a valuable asset for producers looking to extend the sales season after the peak supply of early varieties has passed. The cylindrical shape and deep black color meet the highest standards of marketability for retail chains (fresh market).

• Flavor Profile: A pronounced sweet taste and intense aroma that persist even after short-term storage.
• Technology: The berries are resistant to shedding, allowing for optimal harvest intervals without yield loss.
• Versatility: Ideally suited not only for the fresh market but also for freezing or industrial processing, while maintaining the fruit’s structure.
• Propagation: High vegetative propagation capacity allows farmers to scale planting areas quickly with minimal capital investment.

By choosing “DrisBlackFifteen,” growers gain access to verified Driscoll’s genetics, ensuring predictable performance in the field and consistent demand at the retail level.
