Bean Anniversary 250

Technical Profile of Ultra-Early Asparagus Bean

The 'Yubileynaya 250' variety, developed by the Krasnohrad Experimental Station of the UAAS, represents a specialized solution for vegetable farms focused on continuous production cycles. The primary engineering goal achieved during the development of this variety is the reduction of the vegetation period to 65 days while maintaining high commercial quality of the pod.

Morphology and Technological Parameters

• Biotype: Bush sugar (asparagus/green) bean. The absence of a parchment layer and coarse fibers in the pod walls makes it suitable for whole-pod culinary processing.
• Technical Maturity Phase: The pods exhibit a distinct green color. Stability of pigmentation in this phase serves as a primary indicator of harvest readiness.
• Cycle Duration: A vegetation period of up to 65 days allows for a double-cropping scheme within a single season, which is critical for maximizing land turnover.

Practical Value for Producers

This variety demonstrates high plasticity across various climatic zones in Ukraine. The bush growth habit ensures uniform pod maturation, significantly simplifying manual harvesting technology and reducing losses during mechanical handling. Through selective breeding, 'Yubileynaya 250' retains a tender pod tissue texture, a decisive factor for the processing industry and retail sectors. The optimal balance between biomass accumulation speed and fruit quality makes this variety an efficient tool within the crop rotation structure of agricultural enterprises.
