The 'General' spring barley is a breeding product from the Donetsk State Agricultural Research Station of the NAAS, firmly established in the segment of two-row varieties of Ukrainian origin. Plant height ranges from 70–90 cm, ensuring an optimal balance between vegetative mass and lodging resistance. The two-row spike type, combined with large kernels (the weight of 1,000 seeds is 45–55 grams), allows for high grain bulk density, which is essential for both feed and food industry applications.
