Astra Carmen — a popular annual with a compact upright bush reaching 60-70 centimeters in height. The flowers are large, with a diameter of 7-9 centimeters, in a rich dark-magenta color, giving the plant expressive decorative appeal. Blooming begins in mid-August and continues until the onset of cold weather, allowing one to enjoy bright flowers in the garden or for cutting for a long time.
Carmen aster seeds are sown in March-April in a greenhouse or cold frame for growing through seedlings, or directly in the ground in May. At a temperature of 18-21°C, seedlings appear within 6-15 days. For successful growth, it is recommended to choose sunny areas with fertile, well-drained soil, which promotes the development of healthy and strong plants.
Astra Carmen is widely used for cutting, as well as for group plantings and flowerbed design. Thanks to its bright coloring and prolonged flowering period, it will become an ornament for any garden and allow creating beautiful floral compositions. Seeds are supplied in 0.2-gram packages and require storage in a dry place to maintain germination.
