Tulip Fire of Love

Operational Advantages of «Fire of Love»

For growers focusing on early market entry, the «Fire of Love» Greigii tulip is a low-maintenance, high-performance asset. Its naturally low stature is its primary operational benefit: the plants do not require staking or netting, remaining upright even during volatile spring weather. This eliminates the labor and material costs associated with plant support systems, allowing for a streamlined workflow from planting to harvest.

Disease Resistance and ROI

The core strength of this variety lies in its robust phytosanitary profile. It significantly reduces the frequency of fungicide applications, as it possesses inherent resistance to major yield-limiting threats:

• Verticillium wilt: the bulbs remain healthy and vigorous throughout the season.
• Tobacco mosaic virus: the variety maintains its ornamental quality even under high-density growing conditions.
• Fusarium wilt and Cladosporium: these common threats are effectively mitigated by the cultivar’s natural resistance mechanisms.

For an operator, this means predictable yields and fewer interventions. The intense red color of the petals is highly sought after for early-season sales. Furthermore, the compact growth habit allows for higher planting density, maximizing the output of every square meter in your greenhouse or open field. Choosing this hybrid is a practical way to manage risks and increase commercial productivity.
