Aster Altair

Cultivation Working with "Zvezda Altair"

For those looking to enhance their landscape or producing for cut flowers, the "Zvezda Altair" aster from the "Kapris" farm is a classic annual that requires minimal maintenance when standard agricultural practices are followed.

Agronomic details

The plants reach a height of 50-80 cm, making them ideal for creating mid-to-back borders in flowerbeds. The stems are robust and provide excellent support for the large blooms, which is critical if you are preparing the crop for market, as the commercial quality is maintained even during transport. Since the variety is not winter-hardy, management focus should be on proper soil preparation and timely sowing during the spring period.

• Color palette: deep blue and saturated violet hues.
• Performance: consistently high ornamental value throughout the entire season.
• Care: requires regular watering and soil aeration; responds well to balanced complex mineral fertilizers.

The main advantage of "Zvezda Altair" is the absence of wintering-related issues. You have a clear understanding of the growth cycle: sowing, active vegetation, blooming, and cycle completion. This simplifies crop rotation on your plot, allowing for clearing space for other crops by the end of the season. Working with seeds from breeder Vyacheslav Vasilyevich Shepelev ("Kapris" Farm) guarantees varietal purity, which is a key factor for professional flower growers.
