Aster BLUE HAIL

Practical Application in Landscape Design

The 'Goluboy Iney' (Blue Frost) aster is a professional choice for those looking to create dense, structured floral arrangements. Known for its distinct pompon-shaped blooms and deep blue hue, this cultivar provides high uniformity, making it ideal for large-scale landscaping and private gardens.

Cultivation and Planting Strategies

Reaching a height of 50–80 cm, the plant offers versatility for different garden zones:

• Border Plantings: The plant's sturdy structure allows for clean, well-defined lines along walkways. Its height ensures the blooms are showcased effectively without obscuring other garden elements.
• Bedding Displays: When planted in mass, with spacing of 25–30 cm, it forms a cohesive display of 8–10 cm diameter flowers that maintain their shape well throughout the season.

Agrotechnical Requirements

As an annual variety that does not overwinter, successful cultivation relies on proper seedling management. The selection, developed by Russian experts (Belonosova N. T., Kashnova E. V.), is adapted for regional climate zones, provided it receives sufficient light and well-drained soil.

Key for crop maintenance is water management during the budding phase. Consistent moisture levels are essential to ensure the pompon heads reach their maximum diameter and maintain color intensity. Because of the uniform growth habit, this variety is highly favored for operations requiring predictable development cycles and minimal maintenance once established in the ground.
