Winter Lemon

Apple tree variety 'Winter Lemon' is a medium-sized tree about 2.5 meters tall with a spherical, moderately dense crown. Main branches grow from the trunk at an angle of 60-90 degrees, and bud vigor and shoot formation are at a medium level. This variety is distinguished by high winter hardiness, allowing it to be successfully grown under various climatic conditions, especially in the middle belt, provided proper care and protection against diseases.

Fruits of the 'Winter Lemon' apple have a truncated-conical shape, yellow-green color with a dull-orange blush on the sunny side and large subcutaneous speckles. Fruit weight ranges from 150 to 220 grams, they are uniform, with thin, shiny, slightly waxy skin. The flesh is greenish-white or white, juicy, medium density, with a good sweet-sour taste and increased acidity. Fruit ripening occurs from late September to early January, ensuring long storage and high transportability of the harvest.

The variety is characterized by early fruiting, beginning to bear fruit from the 4th-5th year after planting, and high yield. Despite moderate resistance to powdery mildew and scab, the apple tree requires intensive protection against these diseases and regular rejuvenating pruning to maintain health and productivity. Due to its qualities, 'Winter Lemon' is suitable for cultivation in gardens where winter hardiness, fruit quality, and the ability to store the harvest for a long time are important.
