Early winter apple variety, resistant to scab (Vm+polygenes) from the lupine breeding institute VNIILUPIN. Developed by A.I. Astakhov from crossing form SR0523 with the variety Pobeditel. Included in the State Register for the Central Region.
Medium-sized, fast-growing tree. Round, moderately dense crown. Branches straight, emerging from the trunk at an obtuse angle. Branch tips directed upwards. Bark on main branches greenish, smooth. Fruit set concentrated on spurs and simple buds.
Medium-length and thickness shoots, straight, round in cross-section, brownish-gray, hairy. Leaves large, round, slightly wrinkled, short-pointed, with spirally twisted tips. Leaf blade flat, sometimes with concave spots. Leaf margin finely toothed, wavy. Petiole hairy, medium length and thickness. Buds conical, pressed against the shoot, hairy. Flowers large, white, fragrant.
Fruits (see photo) medium to above-medium size, round or slightly ribbed, medium uniformity. Average fruit weight 150 g, maximum up to 300 g. Calyx small, narrow, not rusted. Receptacle small, narrow, ribbed. Calyx persistent, closed. Skin smooth, glossy. Main color greenish, covering color dark raspberry on most of the fruit. Core onion-shaped. Chambers open. Seeds large, broad, round, dark brown.
Flesh white, medium density, juicy, very good tart-sweet taste, with aroma. Sensory evaluation of fruits 4.8 points.
Fruits contain 8.8% sugars, 0.45% acid, 9-11 mg/100g ascorbic acid.
Cold-hardy, early-bearing, and high-yielding variety. Fruit set begins on 3rd-4th year. Yields abundant and regular (270–350 centners per hectare).
High commercial value, resistant to scab, fruits store well in refrigerators until February.
Advantages of the variety: ecological resistance, early bearing, self-fertility, non-shedding, high commercial and consumer quality of fruits.
Disadvantages of the variety: insufficient resistance to fruit rot and short storage life of fruits.
