Anise Artek

Stability and Essential Oils

The 'Artek' anise variety has earned a reputation as a reliable choice for farmers focusing on the production of high-quality essential oil raw materials. Unlike many imported hybrids, 'Artek' is well-adapted to the climatic conditions of the steppe zone, which minimizes the risk of crop loss during sharp temperature fluctuations in the spring.

Agronomic Profile

• Crop type: annual herbaceous plant.
• Originator: FGBUN Research Institute of Agriculture of Crimea (Ukraine).
• High resistance to lodging, which is critical for mechanized harvesting.
• Essential oil content meets the standards of the pharmaceutical and food industries.

The main strength of 'Artek' is the predictability of its vegetation period. The plant shows uniform germination and seed maturation, allowing for efficient harvest logistics. However, the variety is demanding regarding field purity: due to slow growth in the early stages, it requires rigorous weed control. It is not a 'low-maintenance' variety; achieving maximum yield requires strict adherence to the agrotechnology of essential oil crops.

Who is this variety for? 'Artek' is optimal for medium-sized agricultural enterprises specializing in spicy-aromatic herbs that possess the technical capacity for drying and processing seeds. If your goal is stable raw material quality for pharmacology or confectionery production, this variety will serve as a reliable foundation for your crop rotation.
