Anise ALEKSEEVSKIY 1231

The Anise Industry Standard: Why Alekseevsky 1231 Maintains Its Lead

In the world of essential oil crops, the 'Alekseevsky 1231' anise variety has long transcended being merely a breeding achievement to become a benchmark for domestic production. Developed by specialists at the Alekseevskaya Experimental Station (VNIIMK), this variety is tailored for those who prioritize a consistent essential oil yield over experimental gains.

Agrotechnological Profile

This annual plant reaches a height of 60–70 cm, which is an ideal parameter for mechanical harvesting. The compact nature of the bush, combined with a predictable vegetation period, allows for the efficient planning of agrotechnical operations, minimizing the risk of yield loss due to uneven ripening.

Strengths and Weaknesses

• Stability: The variety demonstrates high adaptability to climatic conditions typical of temperate regions.
• Raw Material Quality: The seeds of Alekseevsky 1231 contain a high percentage of high-quality essential oil, making them sought after in both the pharmaceutical and food industries.
• Cultivation Nuances: As a traditional variety, it requires strict adherence to crop rotation and meticulous weed control, as anise is particularly sensitive to competition during the early growth stages.

This variety is an optimal choice for farms specializing in herbs that have established processing logistics. If your goal is to produce standardized raw materials with a high concentration of bioactive compounds, 'Alekseevsky 1231' justifies the investment through its predictability and decades of proven genetics.
