VITYAZ anise is a variety of anise (Pimpinella), developed and registered in 2018 by the Federal Scientific Center for Vegetable Growing. The plant belongs to mid-season annual crops, grown mainly in garden and allotment conditions. Vityaz features an upright form, medium height, and a basal rosette, which ensures stability and good yield.
The variety is characterized by a light-green, non-hairy stem, smooth leaves with serrated edges, and white flowers. The seeds have an oval shape and a gray hue. The mass of one plant is about 33 grams, while the green yield ranges from 0.6 to 0.7 kg/m². The growth period from full emergence to cutting for greens takes 23–25 days, making Vityaz convenient for quick turnover in the garden.
Anise VITYAZ is valued for its high content of essential oils, mineral salts, and vitamins. It is widely used as a spice in cooking: added to bread, sauerkraut, fresh white and red cabbage, as well as various salads. Thanks to its digestive properties, anise improves appetite and aids in food digestion. The variety is suitable for growing in all climatic regions of the country, from northern to far-eastern zones, making it a universal choice for gardeners and allotment holders.
