Description High-yielding Kuban (Olympic)
Developed at the North Caucasus Regional Institute of Horticulture and Viticulture (Krasnodar) from a cross between the varieties Ispolinskaya and Kaunchi-8. Breeders: S. F. Rusak, N. V. Mozhar. Approved for the North Caucasus region, undergoing field trials in the North Caucasus zone, widely used in amateur horticulture.

Medium-sized tree, with an open, slightly drooping, somewhat sparse, and moderately leafy crown; main branches positioned at an angle of 45-50°; bark gray and rough, with large brown lenticels.

Shoots are thin, brown with small brownish lenticels, with slight hairiness at the tips. Leaves are medium-sized, egg-shaped, slightly pointed at the apex, green with a yellowish tint. Leaf blade is flat and hairy on the underside; leaf margin entire; petiole of medium length and thickness, without hairiness; buds smooth, large, elongated.
Flowers are large, pink, fragrant; petals oval.

Fruits are above average size, average weight 300 g, broad pear-shaped; fruit surface slightly ribbed and slightly warty. Skin is smooth, oily, yellowish-green, becoming bright with an orange tint upon full ripening; hairiness gray, woolly, but easily rubs off; fruits are hairless upon ripening. Calyx is deep, lobed, with a shallow, slightly rusted funnel and three protrusions; fruit peduncle of medium thickness and length.
Flesh is creamy, firm, juicy, slightly acidic-sweet, suitable for fresh consumption. Fruits contain 15.6% soluble solids, 9.8% sugars, 1.0% titratable acids, 35.8 mg/100g ascorbic acid, and 156.8 mg/100g raw weight of active catechins.

Fruits ripen in the 2nd-3rd decade of September and can be stored for 60-80 days.
Fruits remain firmly attached to the tree. The variety is versatile, with high-quality processed products. Fruit transportability is high.
Trees begin fruiting from the 3rd-4th year after planting in a garden, with regular fruiting. High yield; at 8 years of age, the variety yields up to 200 centners per hectare. Trees are winter-hardy and drought-tolerant, as well as resistant to fungal diseases.

Advantages of the variety: early fruiting, high yield, fruits of high technological quality.
