MONTI S

Kiwi 'Monti' is a vigorous vine with rapid growth: annual growth reaches heights of 2.5 to 3 m. Leaves are large and almost round, while female-type flowers cluster in inflorescences of five white petals. Flowering begins in mid-May and lasts about two weeks.

'Monti' fruits appear on the third year after planting and ripen in the second half of October. They have an elongated, slightly tapered shape, resembling a flattened cylinder, with a dense brown skin covered with fuzz. Average fruit weight is 50–65 g, and up to 60 g with proper care. Inside, the flesh is bright green, juicy, and transparent, with a tart-sweet taste and a subtle pineapple aroma.

The variety is distinguished by high yield: up to 100 kg of fruits per bush when observing conditions for winter and spring pruning. It is unpretentious in care, frost-hardy (up to -25 °C), and grows in both sunny and shaded areas. Kiwi 'Monti' are rich in vitamins C and PP, and contain 285 mg of potassium per 100 g of fruits, making them beneficial for the cardiovascular system.
