Propagation of Cudrania is most commonly carried out through vegetative methods such as grafting onto closely related species like Maclura pomifera, or by using root cuttings. Seed propagation is possible but requires a long period of stratification and does not guarantee the retention of the parent plant's specific varietal traits.

When planting saplings, the optimal time is early spring, before active sap flow begins, or late autumn as the plant enters dormancy. It is essential to ensure that the root collar is buried at the same depth as it was in the nursery container.

Young plants require protection from strong winds and direct, harsh sunlight during the initial weeks after transplanting. Mulching the root zone with organic materials is highly recommended to retain moisture and prevent soil overheating.

Regarding pests, aphids or spider mites may appear if the air becomes too dry, but serious economic losses from these insects are extremely uncommon.

The primary threat to Cudrania in non-native latitudes is not pathogenic flora, but winter frost, which can cause severe dieback of annual growth if temperatures drop too low.

Disease prevention is best achieved by maintaining clean orchard floors, removing fallen leaves, and ensuring proper airflow within the tree's canopy.
