Ocelot F1 Watermelon is a mid-season seedless hybrid of mini-watermelon, developed by the Dutch selection company Hazera. The vegetation period is 70-75 days from seedling transplant. The plant is strong and vigorous, with abundant foliage, good germination, and active growth. It forms fruit even under unfavorable weather conditions when a hybrid pollinator is present. The hybrid is resistant to diseases such as fusarium and anthracnose.
The fruits of Ocelot watermelon are round and small in size, with an average weight of 1-2 kg. The skin is light green with dark stripes, up to 13-14 mm thick, providing good storage and transportability over long distances. The flesh is dark red, dense, crisp, very juicy and sweet, with a refreshing taste and pleasant aroma. The sugar content in the flesh reaches 12-13.5%, giving the watermelon an unmatched flavor.
Ocelot F1 watermelon is recommended for cultivation during the spring-summer period. Harvesting occurs at full ripeness, after which the fruits can be stored in a dark and cool place for 2-4 weeks. The compact size and high commercial uniformity allow transporting watermelons in boxes of 8 pieces. The main use of this watermelon is for fresh food preparation, as well as for canning, pickling, and processing.
