Manises

Manises F1 zucchini — an early, high-yielding hybrid from the Dutch seed company Rijk Zwaan, intended for cultivation in spring-summer and summer-autumn rotations throughout Ukraine. This variety features cylindrical fruits, 18–20 cm long and weighing 300–400 g on average. The zucchini skin is smooth, glossy, and light green, and the fruits do not become tough during ripening, ensuring excellent market quality. Harvesting can begin as soon as fruits reach 10–14 cm in length, including the flower.

The plant is bush-type with medium internodes and vertically oriented leaf blades, which facilitates harvesting. Manises F1 has a prolonged fruiting period and high resistance to viral diseases such as PRSV, WMV, and ZYMV. The vegetation period is 40–50 days, enabling an early harvest in two rotations per season.

Cultivation is possible both by direct sowing into open ground and via seedlings for earlier harvests. The recommended sowing rate is 15,000 plants per hectare. With proper care, including organic and mineral fertilizers, yield and taste quality of fruits significantly increase, and ripening occurs approximately one week earlier.
