Zucchini Leila

Leila F1 — this is a mid-early, high-yielding hybrid zucchini, developed by Enza Zaden (Netherlands). The plant's vegetative period ranges from 47 to 53 days, enabling a quick harvest. The hybrid features a robust, vigorous bush-type plant that rapidly sets fruit and continues to fruit abundantly throughout the entire vegetative period. Leila F1 is versatile in cultivation and suitable for growing both in open ground and protected soil, including field plantings and plastic greenhouses, ensuring all-season cultivation.

The zucchini fruits of Leila F1 have a cylindrical, elongated shape without thickening, preventing overgrowth. Their length ranges from 16 to 30 cm, mass varies from 200 to 800 g, and diameter reaches 10 cm. Dark green color with an attractive sheen gives the fruits an appealing appearance. The flesh is white, dense, and possesses high flavor qualities, making the hybrid especially valuable for processing. Zucchinis are suitable for various processing methods and also for fresh market sales. After harvest, the fruits can maintain their quality and be stored well for up to two weeks.

The Leila F1 hybrid exhibits high drought resistance and the ability to set fruit even at elevated air temperatures during the summer period. It can be successfully grown on heavy soils and has moderate resistance to powdery mildew (IR - Px). Thanks to these characteristics, Leila F1 ensures stable and abundant fruiting, making it popular among both producers and processors who value high productivity and excellent flavor qualities of the product.
