ARHAT is an annual aromatic herbaceous plant, 60–70 cm tall, distinguished by its bright mint-lime aroma and rich flavor. The plant is upright, highly branched, grows easily on light humus soils, but does not tolerate excess moisture or shading. Thanks to its high cold hardiness, ARHAT successfully survives frosts and prolonged temperature drops.
The plant's medicinal properties include calming, analgesic, wound-healing, and anticonvulsant effects. In traditional medicine, it is used to prepare teas, tinctures, and decoctions, as well as as a seasoning for meat, fish, mushroom, and vegetable dishes. Dried leaves are used as an aromatizer for vinegar, compotes, and sauces.
ARHAT is an excellent nectar source: its white flowers attract bees, providing abundant nectar. The plant is also valued for its decorative qualities; it is suitable for flowerbeds, urban gardens, and pot containers. In cooking, it serves as a spice in salads, soups, and meat and fish dishes, while in medicine, it is used as a component of calming and antispasmodic preparations.
