Moldavian Dragonhead TENDERNES

Refined aroma for your garden: Dracocephalum 'Nezhnost'

In the world of spicy herbs, Dracocephalum (dragonhead) is often underrated, but the 'Nezhnost' (Tenderness) variety from VILAR breeders is a benchmark of harmony between aesthetics and aromatics. Developed by the institution with deep expertise in medicinal and aromatic plants (VILAR), this variety offers more than just greenery; it provides a sophisticated lemon accent capable of transforming both culinary masterpieces and landscape designs.

Why choose 'Nezhnost'

• Proven breeding: The originator, VILAR, guarantees the purity of the variety. It is not a random hybrid, but the result of scientific work aimed at stabilizing the essential oil qualities of the plant.
• Perfect aromatics: Unlike many wild forms, 'Nezhnost' possesses a balanced lemon aroma without excessive astringency. This makes it a favorite for teas, infusions, and fresh salads.
• Annual strategy: As an annual, this Dracocephalum is optimal for those who do not want to clutter their garden with permanent crops. A rapid development cycle allows for harvest in the very first season.

Who is this variety for?

'Nezhnost' is a find for private garden owners and lovers of 'edible landscapes.' Due to the neat shape of the bush, the plant fits organically into flower beds. It is often chosen by organic food enthusiasts, as the variety is low-maintenance and rarely requires chemical treatment — the plant itself acts as a powerful phytoncide that repels pests. The only limitation of the variety is its requirement for sunlight: in the shade, the aroma loses its intensity significantly, so the planting site must be open and well-warmed.
