The DrisBlackFive blackberry is a remontant variety with large, anthracite-black berries, possessing a pleasant sweet-tart flavor and delicate aroma. Berries form in large clusters on upright canes with minimal thorns, simplifying care and harvesting. This variety is characterized by high yield and large fruit size, with fresh berries retaining their shelf life up to three days, making them suitable for both fresh consumption and processing.
The plant adapts well to various climatic conditions and is resistant to diseases. For successful cultivation, select sunny locations with low groundwater levels and provide abundant watering throughout the summer, promoting juicy and aromatic fruit. Planting holes should be sufficiently deep (about 50x50 cm), with the root collar not buried deeper than 1-2 cm to avoid suppressing plant growth.
Proper pruning is essential: in autumn, young canes are shortened to 1.2-1.5 m, while old canes are cut at ground level. To protect from frost, canes are bent to the ground and covered for winter. Due to its cold hardiness and minimal care requirements, DrisBlackFive blackberry is suitable for both ornamental gardens and commercial cultivation, as well as for home and cottage gardening.
