Malusha

Malusha is a summer fruit tree variety originating from Ukraine, distinguished by its high cold resistance and resistance to diseases such as scab and powdery mildew. This variety is ideal for cultivation in the middle zone of Russia, enduring temperatures down to -33°C. Malusha is low-maintenance and adaptable to various climatic conditions, making it a popular choice for gardeners and farmers.

The fruits of the Malusha apple tree have a round shape with slight ribbing and weigh approximately 155-170 grams. Their color is a greenish-yellow background with a diffuse dark-red blush covering most of the fruit's surface. The flesh is creamy, fine-grained, firm, and juicy, with a pleasant sweet-tart flavor and a mild aroma. The fruits have low starch content, giving them a tender texture and enhancing their flavor.

A distinctive feature of this variety is its compact, columnar growth, reaching a height of about 180 cm, which facilitates harvesting and makes it suitable for cultivation in small gardens. By the third year after planting, one tree can yield up to 5 kg of apples, and subsequent years see an increase in yield to 15-16 kg. The thin but strong skin of the fruits is covered with a slight waxy coating and dark speckles, adding to their decorative appeal.
