Wheat VIMICA

Breeding by Fnac VIM: A Reliable Choice for Wheat Production

The «Vimitsa» variety is a product of long-term selection work conducted by the Federal Scientific Agroengineering Center VIM (Fnac VIM). In the context of modern farming, where consistency is as critical as yield volume, Vimitsa offers a balanced approach to winter wheat cultivation. Developed in Russia, this variety is tailored to thrive under local environmental stressors, providing a stable foundation for commercial agricultural enterprises.

Grain Quality and Market Positioning

The standout feature of Vimitsa is its grain quality profile, with a gluten content ranging between 20–25%. This specification makes the variety highly attractive for producers aiming for consistent market standards in the milling and bakery industries. By focusing on a reliable gluten level, the developers ensured that farmers can achieve excellent grain quality without the need for excessive chemical inputs, making the cultivation process more efficient and predictable.

Agronomic Performance and Field Application

Fnac VIM has optimized this variety for high plasticity, allowing it to adapt to varying soil and climate conditions. This adaptability is crucial for mitigating risks during unpredictable spring or summer weather. For agronomists, Vimitsa represents a secure investment in the crop rotation cycle. Whether utilized in intensive or medium-intensity production systems, the variety responds well to standard crop protection and sowing practices. By choosing Vimitsa, growers benefit from the research-backed heritage of the VIM center, which prioritizes the long-term sustainability of Russian grain production.
