The LUBIMCHIK watermelon variety is a mid-season variety with a vegetation period of 80-85 days, characterized by high yield and excellent taste qualities. The fruits have a cylindrical elongated shape and weigh from 3 to 6 kg, but can reach up to 15-18 kg under favorable conditions. The rind is smooth, light green in color with a large mosaic pattern, giving the watermelon an attractive appearance.
The flesh of the LUBIMCHIK watermelon is maroon, dense, juicy, and tender, with a high sugar content of about 8.3%, as well as vitamin C at a level of 4.7 mg%. Thanks to these characteristics, the fruit has a distinctly sweet taste and excellent juiciness. The seeds are small and almost absent, making the consumption of the watermelon especially comfortable.
The variety is resistant to diseases, overripening, and fruit maceration, ensuring long shelf life and good transportability. The LUBIMCHIK watermelon is suitable for cultivation both in open ground and under film coverings, demonstrating a stable yield of up to 27 tons per hectare. These qualities make it in demand both for personal consumption and for commercial cultivation.
