Golopristansky

Golopristansky — an ultra-early and high-yielding watermelon variety, distinguished by uniform fruit ripening and stable yield. The vegetation period ranges from 62 to 80 days depending on growing conditions. Fruits are round, with an average weight ranging from 3 to 6 kg, smooth, light-green surface with thin dark-green stripes. The rind is of medium thickness, about 10–15 mm, ensuring good transportability and fruit storability.

The flesh is red, tender, very juicy and sweet, possessing high flavor qualities as well as dietary and medicinal properties. The variety is resistant to diseases and drought, making it a reliable choice for open-field cultivation. Yield can reach up to 25 tons per hectare, confirming its high productivity.

Golopristansky watermelon prefers warm climates and can be grown either as seedlings or direct seeding, depending on the region and conditions. For direct seeding, seeds are planted at a spacing of 140x70 cm. The seedling method allows for an earlier harvest, especially in regions with short daylight hours and insufficient warmth. Care for the plants is standard, tailored to the climatic conditions of the growing region.
