The Millennium variety is a high-performance yarrow obtained through selective breeding of the best clones in an open-pollinated seed population. Competitive trials showed that green mass yield reaches 226.8 kg/ha, and the essential oil mass fraction is 0.16%. Essential oil contains 37.8% chamazulene, with a total essential oil collection of 36.3 kg/ha. These figures make Millennium one of the most productive varieties for essential oil and aromatic product production.
The variety's plants are characterized by a compact form with numerous upright stems 75–78 cm high. Leaves are intensely green, with medium pubescence, giving the bush a neat and tidy appearance. The variety is medium-early, so it can be used both in open fields and in mechanized harvesting systems without quality loss.
Millennium is resistant to unfavorable conditions: it grows well on various soil types, requires no special care, and adapts easily to climate changes. Thanks to its compactness and high yield, this variety is suitable both for commercial essential oil cultivation and for decorative use in gardens and parks, where aromatic plants with high essential component content are valued.
