ENEY is an agricultural variety of common yarrow (Achillea millefolium L.), created through individual selection of the best clone from a seed population obtained by free cross-pollination of the best clones. The variety is characterized by high green mass yield – 171.8 c/ha, as well as high essential oil content of 0.24% by mass. During essential oil collection, the yield reaches approximately 41.8 kg/ha.
The essential oil of the ENEY variety contains azulene and can be used as raw material for the production of aromatic compounds. Due to its structure, the plant is suitable for mechanized harvesting, making it convenient in agronomic practice.
The ENEY variety was developed by the Crimean Agricultural Research Institute and registered in 2014. It is intended for use in agronomy in the North Caucasus region, where it demonstrates resilience to climatic conditions and ensures a stable yield.
