GL RUSTICAL is a mid-season hybrid of the hard pumpkin (Cucurbita pepo L.), intended for cultivation in personal subsidiary holdings. The plant is semi-vining with short shoots, on which a large number of fruits are formed. The fruits have a wide-elliptical shape, a smooth surface, and a mass of 4 to 5 kg. The pumpkin flesh is yellow, medium juicy and dense, making it suitable both for table use and for obtaining seeds used for oil production. The hybrid is characterized by high yield of marketable fruits — up to 14 kg per square meter, as well as good transportability and the ability to preserve its market quality for 60 days after harvest. In addition, the variety is characterized by a high oil content in the seeds — about 47.5%, which makes it attractive for oilseed production. Seed yield reaches 12 hundredweights per hectare, with a 1000-seed mass of about 216 grams. GL RUSTICAL has good resistance to a number of diseases, including viral infections, bacterial lesions, and powdery mildew, as well as moderate resistance to root rots and fruit rot. For successful cultivation, sowing is recommended at the end of April — mid-May with a rate of 18,000 seeds per hectare and application of fertilizers in doses of up to 90 kg of nitrogen, 120 kg of phosphorus, and 160 kg of potassium per hectare. To achieve the expected yield, rainfall of not less than 250 mm during the vegetative period is necessary, and the harvest is carried out at the end of September.
