Tulip Wisley

Reliability and High Resistance in Cultivation

For professional growers, the 'Wisley' tulip variety represents a standard of stability. As a member of the Single Late tulips class, this cultivar is valued for its low-maintenance profile and high resilience. Its standout feature is an impressive natural immunity to common fungal pathogens, including anthracnose, downy mildew (peronospora), aschochyta blight, and powdery mildew. This reduces the need for intensive fungicide spraying programs, allowing operators to save on chemical costs and labor hours dedicated to field maintenance.

Key Specifications and Operational Care

• Flowering Schedule: Mid-season maturity allows for efficient labor management and harvest planning.
• Plant Morphology: The medium height of the stem ensures excellent structural integrity, preventing lodging even in adverse weather conditions.
• Commercial Appeal: The vibrant red petals offer high marketability, ensuring consistent demand during the selling season.

Managing a crop of 'Wisley' is straightforward. The variety is highly adaptable to various soil types, requiring only standard irrigation and fertilization protocols. Because the plant is naturally resistant to infections, the operator spends significantly less time monitoring for disease symptoms, which simplifies the overall management of the flower beds. During harvest, the blooms maintain their structural integrity well, minimizing waste during handling and logistics, which ultimately improves the profitability of the entire production cycle.
