Tulip Witty Picture

White Picture Tulips: Cultivation and Field Performance

«White Picture» is a late-flowering single tulip variety that offers both aesthetic appeal and operational efficiency. Its defining characteristic is a tall, robust stem that maintains structural integrity under wind or rain. This eliminates the need for manual support or staking, which significantly reduces maintenance labor throughout the growth cycle.

Operational Guidelines

• Planting Specs: For best results, plant in mid-to-late autumn when soil temperatures stabilize between 7–10°C. Standard depth (three times the bulb's height) is essential to ensure overwintering resilience.
• Planting Density: To achieve a full, lush display, aim for a density of 30–50 bulbs per square meter.
• Site Maintenance: Proper drainage is non-negotiable. If working with dense soil, implement a sand layer at the bottom of the trench to prevent bulb rot.

As a late-season bloomer, this variety is perfect for bridging the gap between spring and early summer gardens. When harvested for floral production, «White Picture» proves exceptionally durable. The stems hold their posture well in arrangements, and the crisp white petals withstand handling during transport with minimal bruising. For operators, the consistency of this variety is its greatest asset: the bloom timing is predictable, and the plants require minimal intervention, making them a cost-effective and low-maintenance choice for professional floral environments.
