Tulip Taco

Practical Application of 'Taco' Tulips in Flower Production

The 'Taco' tulip hybrid is a strategic choice for growers targeting the late-season market. Due to its low stature, this variety is highly valued for landscaping, garden borders, and dense container arrangements where uniform, manageable growth is essential. Beyond its aesthetic appeal, 'Taco' stands out for its robust resistance to prevalent pathogens including anthracnose, downy mildew, fusarium wilt, and bacterial diseases. This natural resilience allows for significant savings on fungicide applications, reducing both labor costs and chemical impact on the soil.

Key Agrotechnical Benefits

• Enhanced Disease Resistance: The strong genetic defense against common fungal and bacterial threats ensures high yield reliability, even under challenging weather conditions.
• Strategic Late Bloom: Integrating this hybrid into your crop rotation extends the harvesting season, allowing you to capture market demand after early-blooming varieties have peaked.
• Compact Growth Profile: Its low height makes it ideal for high-density greenhouse cultivation, maximizing the utility of every square meter of growing space.

For optimal performance, 'Taco' should be placed in well-drained, sunny locations where it can fully display its pink petals without being crowded by taller cultivars. In commercial settings, the variety demonstrates excellent stability, provided that standard hydration and fertilization protocols are maintained. With proper bulb storage during dormancy, 'Taco' provides long-term value for commercial growers looking to balance aesthetic quality with production durability.
